abrupt---adj.突然的，意外的
The cleark's abrupt reply angered some of the customers.
這位店員粗魯的回答讓顧客很生氣。
bankruptcy---n.破產。
例句：The news of bankruptcy came as a bolt from the blue.
破產的消息好似晴天霹靂。
corruption---n.墮落，腐化，貪污。
例句：The reporter vowed to expose corruption in the government.
這位記者誓言揭發政府的腐敗。
disrupt---v.使分裂，使瓦解，使中斷。
例句：These workers were accused of trying to
disrupt work at the factory.
這幾名工人被控試圖干擾工廠的工作。
erupt---v.噴出，爆發，發疹。
例句：A scandal erupted in 1996, ruining the
lawmaker's career.
1996一件醜聞爆發，毀了這位立法委員的政治生涯。
interrupt---v.打斷，中斷，阻礙。

2.字根：scop=look at,examine---看；觀察。
helioscope---n.太陽望遠鏡。
例句：This is the most advanced helioscope in the world.

kaleidoscope---n.萬花筒，千變萬化。
例句：The bazaar there was a kaleidoscope of strange sights.

3.字根sect=cut---切。
dissect---v.解剖，切開。
例句：They dissected a frog in biology class.
他們在生物課解剖一隻青蛙。
intersection---n.橫斷，交叉，十字路口。
例句：You can see traffic lights only at major intersections.
只有在主要的十字路口，你才能看到交通號誌。
sect---n.派別，黨派。
例句：These villagers belonged to an ascetic sect.
這些村民屬於一個苦行的教派。
section---n.切下的部分，魂，片，段。
例句：Split up the artcle into sections.
將文章分成段落。
insecticide---n.殺蟲劑。
例句：You should spray some insecticide so as to prevent

aspect---n.方面，觀點，外觀。
